چکیده

Strengthening the thermal response of Phase-Change Materials (PCMs) is an essential and active field research with promising potential for advanced applications such as solar energy storage, building conservation, management in electronic devices. This article evaluates efficacy a new arc-shaped fin array shell-and-tube heat storage systems to enhance PCM during discharge mode. Different geometric parameters including curvature angle, spacing, nonuniform angle between fins top bottom sections domain were considered identify best-performing layout. The analysis shows that increasing 60° 180° spacing 5 15 mm can significantly reduce solidifying time improve recovery rates. Moreover, are more efficient than conventional longitudinal (+-shaped) fins, which commonly employed applications. Arc-shaped also save by half rate almost four times + -shaped fins. present findings suggest represent design enhancing heat-recovery aspects PCM-based systems.

A numerical investigation of γ-Al2O3-water nanofluids heat transfer and pressure drop in a shell and tube heat exchanger

The effect of γ-Al2O3 nanoparticles on heat transfer rate, baffle spacing and pressure drop in the shell side of small shell and tube heat exchangers was investigated numerically under turbulent regime. γ-Al2O3-water nanofluids and pure water were used in the shell side and the tube side of heat exchangers, respectively. Since the properties of γ-Al2O3-water nanofluids were variable, they were ...
